When your backdoor man comes calling, should you throw your doors wide open or let him just use the mail slot? Anal sex is a decision every person has to make on their own.

Anal sex is seen by many as the final frontier of sexual escapades. For others, it's merely an entry into a long and pleasurable sex life. I'm reminded of a girl I encountered who observed, "Britney may still have her 'sacred' virginity, but you know she does anal." Is your virginity still intact after anal, not vaginal, sex? My gut (and other things) say 'No', but there are those who would disagree.

At any rate, anal sex is an act that many enjoy on a regular basis. Some even enjoy not one, but two penises during penetration. I mean, if you're a porn star, that is. According to the Annabel Chong documentary Sex, Chong is a huge fan of the double and even triple anal penetration. That's a whole lot to handle for one girl.

Assuming you're going to be fairly one-on-one for your anal encounter of the third kind, the following is a how-to guide for anal vanilla sex (insofar as anal sex can ever be considered vanilla).

For those out there who really enjoy that nice, clean feeling, enemas are an option. Of course, many out there do not recommend it because it washes away the protective mucous lining and could irritate your bowels. If you do choose to do this, stay away from the chemicals and clean yourself only with sterilized water. A quick squirt with a proper nozzle (purchased at any pharmacy) should get you sufficiently cleaned. I would however caution against this and instead just wash externally in the shower.

Once you're clean, hop into bed and get warmed up. Anal muscles relax after sexual stimulation, so even if you need to orgasm a few times (you poor thing) then go ahead and do it. Before any of you jump the gun here to insert, you'll need to lube up the area and prepare it with a finger or two. Remember, lube, lube, lube. When in doubt, lube some more. Too much is almost enough. With your lubed finger, work the area gently to loosen it up.

When the area is ready, willing and able, you'll need to stop and consider your next step. Personally, I like using a condom even in monogamous relationships because it keeps the mess to a minimum. And, if either of you aren't in a relationship and haven't been tested for STDS, BY ALL MEANS, USE A CONDOM. For the love of God, there are limits, you know.

Finally, once you're certain everything is lubed to satisfaction, gently slide into that famed and holy orifice that only porn stars dared dream of. The key to satisfying anal sex for everyone is communication, communication, communication. And I really cannot emphasize gentleness enough. Remember: once inadvertently harmed during sex, twice shy. And that means no sex for you. Once you're snugly fit into your partner's tunnel of love, be gentle with your thrusting and allow your partner to regulate the movements. After all, he/she is really the one who has to deal with walking in the morning.
