Dance With Me

If any of you gentle readers happen to remember the 80's through the haze of designer drugs, bright flourescent clothing and big hair, no doubt you will recall the phase of what popular culture termed Lambada: The Forbidden Dance.

Lest we jump ahead of ourselves, I'm sure Lambada was a passing fad, the mention of which, causes many of you to cringe. I mean, aren't all fads just as cringe-worthy? The point, however, is that dancing is a powerful aphrodiasiac and tool of seduction. When the Puritans outlawed dancing because it invited sin and fornication, they were absolutely right. If done correctly, dancing can be sexy, nasty and hot.

Assuming that you, dear reader, are not an accomplished dancer of any sort, wouldn't the New Year be the perfect time to learn? Go and sign up for some sort of dancing lesson with your mate or a friend. Obviously, the sexier the better. After all, haven't you always fancied yourself dressed to the nines in teeny-tiny I-Dream-of-Jeannie type outfit with your toned abs swaying seductively while driving your lover to distraction? Come on, we all have. Or how about learning something with some grit? Funk or jazz could brush up on the moves you see in your favorite music videos. Think sexy. Think soul.

So, fast forward to you being Jennifer Lopez Jr. moving and working the dancefloor like any Soul Train diva. It is now time to unleash your moves on your honey. Offer him/her a dance in all your dressed-up glory. Whether we're talking tails, bikini or clingy sheath dress, make sure you look as smoking as you feel. Don't just feel it--BE it!

Seduce, seduce, seduce. As you are draping your sultry self all over your lover, make use of the oldest tactics in the book. Make love with your eyes. For a kittenish, oh-so-innocent look, incline your head forward, look up and bat your lovely eyelashes. Wet your lips. Pout. Ladies and gentlemen, it's all about working your genetic blessings. Whether we're talking beautiful eyes, a graceful neck, a bangin' figure or nice buns don't be shy about emphasizing the good.

When dancing with your newly honed talents, be a little naughty about brushing up against key areas of your lover's body. Perhaps you can ever so innocently gently gyrate against your honey's genital area. Maybe your hand strays to perk up an eager nipple. No doubt the longer you keep dancing and letting the music carry you, the more you'll feel that dancing is both a release and a turn-on.

Of course, let us not forget the whole point of learning how to dance in the first place: rhythm, rhythm, rhythm. Dancing can only improve your skills as a lover whether it tones you, makes you more aware of muscles you didn't know you had or allows you to pelvically thrust at a more constant and long-lasting pace. And, really, can any lovestruck significant other truly resist the temptation of silky, sweaty, just-danced limbs? I think not.
