Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Quite by accident this past weekend I discovered a new turn-on. This juicy little tidbit is completely equal opportunity-heteros, homos, monogamists and swingers alike. It is beautiful in its utter simplicity, requires no monetary investment and you can try it at home, ce soir.

So, back to the tip. I'm at my parent's house, in my old bedroom, having sex (quietly). I look to the left and catch a glimpse of myself bumping and grinding in my vanity mirror. A shiver of sheer delight ran up my spine. I drew the sight to my partner's attention, the intensity built to an amazing and almost simultaneous crescendo. Now I'm obsessed.

The orchestration of this sexy little add-on doesn't have to be as elaborate as drilling a mirror your ceiling. You've certainly got a mirror in your house, so move it to the bedroom. You can play around with positioning and so forth after the fact. A side view is especially erotic, but I can also see the merit of one at the headboard.

Another option of course is to go to the mirror. One of my favorite little party tricks is to tell my bed buddy that I'm not feeling well, and could he please help me out in the bathroom (this usually buys us about 10 minutes). Next thing you know I'm leaning over the sink, he's behind me and we both see our reflections. Genius.

I know, I know.....some of us would rather shave our legs with a cheese grater than be confronted with a visual of ourselves sexually. This was one of my initial concerns. But, consider this-you control the room's lighting and the positioning of the looking glass. If you're not so fond of your derriere, put the mirror in front or vice versa. I found the revelation much less tragic than anticipated and actually have a whole new image for my sexual fantasies.

In addition, if something you do during sex does look a little funky, you will become aware of it and you can remedy the situation. Isn't that a hell of a lot better than wondering why your relationships deteriorate after you hit the sack?
