One Night's Alright

Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you see it) not all of us are in a relationship where we can depend on a steady diet of sexual activity. Therefore one-night stands are pretty much inevitable for us sex craving singletons. This naughty girl has come up with her own set of rules how to make these occurrences fabulously fun and frisky.

First of all, banish any guilt from your mind. I would like to think that in this day and age most of us have come to learn that sex is an important and very healthy part of life and there should be no shame associated with it. One-night stands can be empowering, exciting and adventurous as long as you understand that they probably won't lead to anything other than a hot night of mad fun. Respect yourself and your subject of choice and be sensitive to their needs and desires. Communicating and exploring during these playful romps will help to alleviate some of the tension and in turn be sexually fulfilling. Also try to steer the conversation away from subjects that you would normally discuss with a long-term partner. For example, bringing the word "love" into the proceedings is only going to make things more awkward. Be confident, be direct and most of all enjoy the moment.

For many the most self-conscious moment is waking up the next morning in that person's bed or having them wake up in yours. I would advise against using their tooth brush, or going into their kitchen and cooking breakfast, or calling your dad or best friend on their phone - panicking and running out the door is probably not such a great idea either. Gently wake your part-time lover and let them know that you're leaving or if they are in your bed, let them wake up naturally. What happens next is anyone's guess. She/he might ask you to stay for brunch or want to take you out for breakfast, phone numbers might be exchanged or you might be gently coerced into extending your one-night stand. There should really be no expectations; just do what you feel like at the moment. When you do walk out that door hold your head up high and be proud, after all you are the master of your domain.
